Ranchi, Jan 16 (.) Jharkhand Police have initiated preparations for the Second All India Police T-20 Cricket Tournament (2025–26) with the commencement of a selection camp on Friday.
The tournament, to be hosted by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), is scheduled to be held from January 28 to February 3, 2026.
Talented police personnel from various departments across the state are participating in the camp, showcasing their cricketing skills to earn a place in the state team.
For the selection process, Jharkhand Police have constituted a three-member selection board comprising the Special Branch Superintendent of Police, a representative from the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and the Commandant of JAP-1.
The board has been directed to select a total of 16 best players on the basis of their outstanding performance and physical fitness. Police personnel from different districts of the state are taking part in the camp.
The objective is to field a strong Jharkhand team in the national-level tournament, while also promoting fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship among police personnel.
