    Davos, Jan 20 (.) Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Tuesday urged leading industrialists to invest in Telangana and become partners in the state’s development journey under the vision of “Telangana Rising.”
    The minister participated as a representative of the Telangana government at the inauguration of the “India Pavilion” at Davos during the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.
    Addressing industrial leaders on the occasion, he said Telangana has emerged as a role model for other states in Ease of Doing Business and offers abundant opportunities and favourable conditions for setting up industries.
    Sridhar Babu said the government’s resolve is “not to wait for the future, but to build it,” and announced that Telangana aims to increase its share in India’s GDP to 10 per cent by 2047. He said a comprehensive roadmap, prepared with inputs from experts, industrialists and the public, has been developed to propel Telangana’s economy to $3 trillion by 2047.
    Highlighting the state’s investment-friendly ecosystem, he said Telangana is creating strong opportunities in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare innovation, electronics, semiconductors, hardware manufacturing, IT and ITES, aerospace and defence, textiles and apparel, food processing, agro-based industries, renewable energy and green technologies.
    The minister said the government is focused on bringing new industries to Telangana and creating employment opportunities for youth. He noted that in the last two years, Telangana attracted investments worth around ₹2.5 lakh crore through the Davos platform.
    He added that the state would once again present its progressive industrial policies at Davos this year to encourage more global companies to invest in Telangana. He also announced that the Life Sciences Policy 2.0 and the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH) would be formally launched at the Davos forum, aimed at enhancing the global recognition of the “Telangana brand.”
