Los Angeles, Feb 2 (.) Lady Gaga added another milestone to her illustrious career, winning the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album for her latest record, Mayhem, according to Variety.
Gaga triumphed over a competitive field that included Justin Bieber (Swag), Miley Cyrus (Something Beautiful), Teddy Swims (I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2)) and last year’s winner, Sabrina Carpenter (Man’s Best Friend).
Visibly emotional on stage, Gaga reflected on her journey as a musician. “I’ve been making music since I was a little girl, and every time I’m here, I still feel like I have to pinch myself,” she said. She also paid heartfelt thanks to her partner, Michael, who she credited for supporting her throughout the creation of Mayhem. “You worked so hard with me on this record all year. I love you and thank you,” she added.
Gaga used her acceptance speech to encourage women in music, highlighting the challenges of working in male-dominated studios. “Always listen to yourself, fight for your ideas, fight for your songs, fight for yourself as a producer, and make sure that you are heard loudly,” she said. She described Mayhem as a reflection of “discipline, hard work and craftsmanship.”
This marks Gaga’s second Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album, her first being in 2011 for The Fame Monster. Earlier in the pre-telecast ceremony, she also won the award for Best Dance Pop Recording, adding to her impressive tally at the 2026 Grammys.
