New Delhi, Feb 11(.) NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power company, is set to organise the ‘Indian Power Stations O&M Conference’ (IPS 2026) from February 13- 15, 2026. The three-day conference will provide a common platform for experts and professionals from the power sector for dialogue, learning, and collaboration. The conference will be inaugurated by Shripad Yesso Naik, union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy. Senior officials from the Ministry of Power and public sector undertakings in the power sector will also be present on the occasion.
This annual conference marks an important chapter in NTPC’s journey, commemorating the commercial operation of its first thermal unit at Singrauli in 1982.
The theme of IPS 2026 is ‘Optimising Thermal Generation with Quality & Reliability’, underscoring the continued importance of thermal power in ensuring energy security and grid stability, particularly at a time when India is progressing towards a cleaner and more diversified energy mix.
The three-day conference will include technical sessions where experts will deliberate on operational challenges, evolving requirements, and emerging opportunities in the sector. Key discussion areas include flexible plant operations, safety, asset management, water and fuel management, digital applications, efficiency improvement, and the role of new energy pathways such as nuclear power, hydrogen, renewable energy, and storage solutions.
