New Delhi, Jan 27 (.) Opposition MPs on Tuesday voiced a wide range of concerns, diverging from the government’s appeal for Budget-focused discussions at an all-party meeting convened ahead of the Budget session of parliament.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh criticised the government’s foreign policy, citing alleged “atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh” and perceived US slights against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also raised issues of alleged insults to a Shankaracharya in Prayagraj and voter deletions linked to SIR.
NCP-SCP MP Fauzia Khan pushed for parliamentary discussions on pollution and the implementation timeline for the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, alongside MGNREGA.
In response, union Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasised that the meeting’s rules required focus on the upcoming Budget. He stated the government remains open to suggestions, noting that broader issues could be raised during the vote of thanks on the President’s address. . ATK .
