New Delhi, Feb 16 (.) Music composer-turned-director Palaash Muchhal is set to helm his next directorial venture, featuring Shreyas Talpade and Daisy Shah in lead roles. While the film’s title remains under wraps, the project has already generated buzz among industry watchers.
The announcement was made by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. Sharing the news on Instagram, he revealed that “Daisy Shah Joins Shreyas Talpade In Palash Muchhal’s Next Film… On the auspicious occasion of MahaShivratri, director PalaashMuchhal has signed DaisyShah as the female lead opposite ShreyasTalpade for his upcoming, as-yet-untitled thriller. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, the filming is expected to commence shortly.”
According to the update, the yet-untitled film is set against the backdrop of Mumbai and will reportedly see Shreyas portray the role of a common man. However, further details about the storyline, supporting cast, and release date are being kept tightly guarded.
This project marks Muchhal’s next outing as a director following Ardh, starring Rajpal Yadav and Rubina Dilaik, and Kaam Chalu Hai, which featured Rajpal Yadav, Giaa Manek, and Kurangi Nagraj.
On the personal front, Muchhal was previously set to marry Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana on November 23, 2025, after dating for several years. However, the wedding was later called off.
Mandhana addressed the speculation in a social media post, confirming the decision and requesting privacy for both families as they move forward.
