New Delhi, Feb 28 (.) The Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) on Saturday celebrated the 130th birth anniversary of former PM Morarji Desai, and observed National Science Day as Vigyan Utsav here, which featured day-long events like Nukkad Nataks, free Virtual Reality shows and an exhibition for children.
The festival has been designed to promote scientific temper amongst students and visitors through a range of activities and immersive learning experiences in astronomy and space science.
A panel exhibition on the life and contribution of former PM Morarji Desai was also held on this occasion, besides several other activities engaging children.
Ashwani Lohani, Director, PMML, while speaking on the occasion said that, “Such events showcase the deep roots of democracy in the country besides promoting scientific temper in this age of AI.”
Notably, the PMML, Teen Murti Bhawan regularly organises events related to academic research, life, vision and contribution of the country’s PMs, and also science-based activities to promote knowledge and awareness amongst students and visitors.
During the recent past, the PMML has enhanced and expanded its academic resources.
Presently, the Prime Ministers Museum is only the museum of its kind across the globe, showcasing democratic essence of the country through the lives, contribution and the vision of the prime ministers.
