New Delhi, Feb 12 (.) Singer Guru Randhawa has extended support to actor Rajpal Yadav, who recently surrendered at Tihar Jail in connection with multiple cheque dishonour cases.
The singer announced that he would feature the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor in one of his upcoming music videos and has already transferred an advance payment for the project.
Sharing a note on Instagram Stories, Randhawa wrote, “Lets all Help our senior actor rajpalofficial sir. Will be transferring him an advance amount as featured in one of my upcoming videos. Sonu sood paji following what you started. Lets all help and get him home safe. Waheguru sonu sood.”
Several members of the film fraternity have voiced their support for Yadav and urged others to step forward. Actor Sonu Sood announced financial assistance by offering Yadav a small signing amount, adjustable against future work, for his upcoming film.
“Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal. He will be part of my film, and I believe this is the moment for all of us producers, directors, colleagues to stand together,” Sood wrote on X.
Actor Gurmeet Choudhary also expressed solidarity in a post on X, stating, “It breaks my heart to see a senior, immensely talented artist like Rajpal Yadav ji going through such a painful phase. He has given us countless smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Today, he needs us. As a fellow actor and as a human being, I am stepping forward to help in whatever way I can.”
He further appealed to “all producers, directors, and members of our film fraternity” to “come together, with compassion and humanity, and find a solution.”
Mayank Arya, co-founder of Yes madam, reaffirmed on X that Yes Madam would feature Yadav in an upcoming advertising film, and urged other brands to follow suit by offering roles, endorsements, or campaigns that leverage the actor’s talent and visibility.
He wrote, “Seconded SonuSood. Even brands should come forward to help the great talent. Rajpal sir will also be a part of an ad film yesmadam! Have already aligned the team on it. ComeBackStronger.”
The developments follow the Delhi High Court’s decision to reject Yadav’s final plea to avoid imprisonment in the cheque dishonour cases. The court directed him to surrender to jail authorities before any further hearing could take place.
