Mumbai, Jan 28 (.) Bollywood actress-producer Richa Chadha is set to venture into the non-fiction space with an upcoming series that explores travel, culture and human stories woven into landscape and communities.
Known for her outspoken and meaningful story choices, Chadha is venturing into new territory with this series, which will combine real experiences and cultural exploration.
The series marks Chadha’s entry into the non-fiction space as a creator and further cements her journey from being an actress to a multi-talented film personality. The series will offer a textured portrait of India’s rich cultural landscape, highlighting diverse communities, traditional and lived experiences through a lens shaped by empathy and curiosity.
Speaking about the project, Chadha said, “I’ve always believed that stories exist everywhere in people, in places, in cultures we’ve never paused to understand. With this non-fiction series, I want to explore that world with curiosity and compassion. As an artist, I feel it’s important to keep experimenting, keep growing, and keep challenging yourself.”
Elaborating about her first project, she explained, “Girls Will Be Girls was my first step in that direction as a producer, and this new series is another leap into a space that excites me deeply. I’m eager to bring real stories of travel, heritage, and human connection to life. I had done a sort of test run of this kind of content, during the 2nd wave of COVID with KINDRY. So I know it will touch the hearts of Indians all over the world!”
