London, Feb 24 (.) Broadcaster and former actor Ross Kemp is set to confront what many commentators describe as a deepening crisis of masculinity in Britain in a new documentary series titled “Ross Kemp: Lost Boys, Deadly Men”.
The programme is commissioned by Crime Investigation UK and produced by Vice Studios in association with Krempelwood and seeks to interrogate why a growing number of young men are being drawn towards extreme violence.
The discussion intensified after the Netflix drama “Adolescence” surged up streaming charts, prompting renewed scrutiny of the social conditions behind youth extremism and brutality, reports DEADLINE.
In “Ross Kemp: Lost Boys, Deadly Men”, the host questions why some young men in Britain are committing acts of extreme violence. He meets people who inform him about the growing crisis in masculinity at a time when violence against women and girls has been declared a national emergency. Looking beyond sensational headlines and political soundbites, Kemp examines the deeper social, cultural and online influences shaping a generation of young men.
Kemp played notorious EastEnders hard man Grant Mitchell for years on and off and has presented numerous documentaries on tough topics. . . CDS
