New Delhi, Jan 23 (.) Days after unveiling the teaser for the upcoming action-war drama ‘Battle of Galwan’, starring Salman Khan, the makers have now released a short glimpse of the film’s first song, titled ‘Maatrubhumi’.
Salman shared the 15-second teaser on Instagram on Friday. Opening with the sound of a military bugle and the Indian flag standing tall, the visuals highlight the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism of Indian soldiers.
The full song is set to release on January 24, just ahead of Republic Day. Composed by Himesh Reshammiya with lyrics by Sameer Anjaan, ‘Maatrubhumi’ is sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, designed to evoke strong patriotic emotions.
The film’s teaser, released in December, introduced Salman as an Indian Army officer, showing him in a serious, determined avatar. The visuals depict rugged terrain, harsh weather, and close-combat scenarios, reflecting the challenges faced by soldiers at high altitudes.
‘Battle of Galwan’ is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China, in which 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives. The film also explores the tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, where the army undertook strategic measures to prevent potential Chinese aggression.
Chitrangda Singh stars opposite Salman, and the film is slated for release on April 17.
