Kathmandu, Feb 24 (.) Seven people were injured in a clash between Chinese and local workers of a food company in Nepal’s Bagmati province on Monday, police said.
The clash took place at Ziyan Himalayan Food Company in Sindhuli district, The Kathmandu Post reported.
According to the Area Police Office, Kapilakot, the incident occurred following a dispute over the sacking of 30-year-old Nepalese worker Nabaraj Bamjan. The situation escalated into a physical confrontation.
On receiving the information, a team led by a Police Inspector, along with 10 police personnel and 15 election police personnel, was deployed to the site. The incident site is around three kilometres west of the police station.
Alongside Bamjan, Gokarna Katuwal also suffered a head injury, police said.
Five Chinese nationals working at the company were also injured.
All injured persons were taken to the Kapilakot Primary Health Centre for treatment, police said. . .
