New Delhi, Feb 9 (.) union Home Minister Amit Shah will deliver the keynote address at a National Conference on ‘Tackling Cyber-Enabled Frauds & Dismantling the Ecosystem’ on Tuesday, February 10, in New Delhi.
On this occasion, Shah will preside over an Investiture Ceremony for CBI officers, inaugurate the new Cybercrime Branch of the CBI, and launch the S4C Dashboard of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).
The two-day conference, being held at Bharat Mandapam on February 10-11, is organized by the Central Bureau of Investigation in collaboration with the I4C, Ministry of Home Affairs. It convenes at a time when India’s rapid digital transformation has improved access to banking, governance, and communication, while also creating new vulnerabilities exploited by criminal networks.
The primary objectives are to build a shared understanding of the scale and trends of cyber-enabled fraud, examine critical pillars of the fraud ecosystem—financial, telecom, and human—and strengthen inter-agency and public-private collaboration. The conference will explore the use of Artificial Intelligence and data analytics to scale investigations and improve mechanisms for fraud reporting, fund tracing, and victim protection.
It seeks to drive a unified national strategy by strengthening prevention, investigation, technology adoption, and coordination frameworks.
The event will see participation from senior officials of central and state law enforcement agencies, the Department of Telecommunications, the Department of Financial Services, the Reserve Bank of India, public and private sector banks, fintech companies, telecom service providers, social media intermediaries, and cybersecurity experts.
