Chennai, Feb 6 (uni) Sundaram Home Finance (SHF) has doubled its ‘Emerging Business’ (EB)
branch network to 100 branches, growing from 50 to 100 in under 12 months.
The 100th branch was inaugurated at Avinashi near Coimbatore on Friday.
The EB segment focuses on affordable housing financing and small ticket working capital loans.
The company, which launched the new emerging business segment in October 2022, took close
to 3 years to set up the first 50 branches.
As part of the doubling of the network to 100 branches, it has expanded its presence outside Tamil
Nadu to Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka over the last 12 months.
In West Tamil Nadu, the company has a network of over 15 EB branches including in small towns
such as Pollachi, Dharapuram and Tirupur, according to a press release.
The company registered disbursements of over Rs. 70 crores in the EB segment in West TN at the
end of December 2025 and is targeting to double that in this region over the next 12 months.
Commenting on the milestone of 100 EB branches, Company MD D. Lakshminarayanan said “While
we took time to expand in the initial phase understanding the market and the new segment, the strong
foundation laid in that phase in TN is now helping us expand rapidly into geographies outside the state.
This has resulted in doubling the EB network to 100 branches within the last 12 months. A good part
of our expansion this year in this segment has taken place outside TN – in Karnataka, Telangana and
    Andhra Pradesh.
In the first nine months of the year, the company clocked disbursement of over Rs. 400 crores in the
EB segment and is targeting to cross Rs. 500 crores disbursements by the end of the year.
On the outlook for the Emerging Business segment, Lakshminarayanan said, “With 100 branches
now in place, we believe we are well positioned for fast-paced growth in the EB segment.
Subsidies announced in the budget will boost demand in the affordable housing space, serving
as a key growth driver for us. We see untapped potential in the TN market and will expand into
new Tier 4-5 locations within the state. Going forward, we will also continue to make fresh
inroads into smaller towns in Karnataka, Andhra and Telangana.
