Mumbai, Feb 15 (.) Marking the auspicious festival of Maha Shivratri, the teaser of the ambitious mytho-action drama “Nagabandham,” was unveiled by superstar Mahesh Babu on Sunday.
Directed by Abhishek Nama, the film stars Virat Karna in the lead role and is being produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy.
The story of the film “Nagabandham,” inspired by Abdali’s historic Afghan invasion, features a unique blend of mythology, history, and spiritual warfare. This battle depicts the clash between cultural conflict and divine protection.
At the center of this epic saga is the sacred Nagabandham Temple, a secret shrine protected by divine forces and believed to house an ancient power of the universe. Located amidst the hidden paths of the Himalayas, this temple holds immense power that, if it falls into the wrong hands, could cause unimaginable devastation.
Virat Karna appears in a strikingly intense and transformed avatar. Besides his fight with the crocodile in the teaser, his entry as Lord Shiva is the biggest highlight.
The film’s casting is another major strength. It features Nabha Natesh, Iswarya Menon, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Rishabh Sahni, Garuda Ram, Jayaprakash, Murali Sharma, Anasuya Bharadwaj and B.S. Avinash in pivotal roles.
The teaser was screened in Hyderabad on Sunday, where it received rave reviews for its grand story and impressive scale.
