Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 21 (.) Technopark exchanged an MoU with real estate major HiLITE Group for setting up their first IT Park project in the state capital on Phase-3 campus of Technopark here.
Christened as ‘Yoo Hub Trivandrum by HiLITE,’ the project envisages a 5.15 lakh sqft IT Park on 1.88 acres of land.
Sandip Kumar, IAS, CEO of Technopark, and Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, exchanged the MoU in the presence of Seeram Samabasiva Rao, IAS, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT, Govt. of Kerala, and Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister.
Shaiju N Lal, Registrar, Kerala IT Parks; Vipin Kumar S, CFO, Kerala IT Parks; Madhavan Praveen, CTO, Technopark; Vasanth Varada, Deputy Vice President (Marketing & Customer Relationship); Abhilash D S, Assistant Vice President (Administration & Industrial Relations); Mohammed Shafeeq P, CEO, HiLITE Properties; and Hanu Shelk, Executive Head, HiLITE Business Park, and other officials from Technopark were also present.
Noting that there is huge demand for land space in the capital city, Sandip Kumar, IAS, said it will be a new beginning for HiLITE in Thiruvananthapuram and the Group can also look for Phase-4 in Technocity where land parcels are available for various projects.
The CEO also offered all the support of Technopark for the timely completion of the project.
Ajil Muhammed said, “This marks a significant milestone in our mission to develop 50 million square feet across Kerala over the next five years. As the state’s first branded IT Park, this project sets the benchmark for the scale, quality, and vision we are committed to delivering.”
The construction of the facility, which will have basement-plus ground floor and 16 floors, will begin soon. The project is expected to be completed in three years.
The proposed IT Park is being developed in association with YOO, an internationally renowned design brand known for its global portfolio of luxury real estate and design-led developments. This marks YOO’s first branded IT Park collaboration globally.
The project is expected to generate approximately 4,000 direct IT jobs, contributing significantly to Kerala’s growing technology ecosystem and supporting long-term industry advancement.
The MoU signing comes just days after HiLITE Group announced its ambitious vision to develop 50 million sqft across Kerala by 2030.
