New Delhi, 15 Feb (.) Delhi Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory in view of the AI Impact Summit scheduled to commence in the national capital from Monday.

From February 16 to 20, Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan will host a five-day international event expected to draw worldwide attention, with participation from heads of state, ministers, senior delegates, and leaders of prominent international organisations.

Considering the high-profile nature of the event, authorities have projected regulated traffic flow in the vicinity of the venue and nearby areas.

Delhi Police stated in its advisory that thorough traffic management measures will be enforced to safeguard public safety and ease movement.

These measures will mainly impact the New Delhi district and surrounding areas, aiming to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimal disruption for commuters.

According to the statement, the arrangements aim to facilitate “smooth and hassle-free movement of all modes of transport” and maintain ease of travel for the general public throughout the summit.

The advisory stated that essential services, including medical emergency vehicles, will have uninterrupted access with priority, while the general public will be guided via designated alternate routes and transport options.

Restricted zones have been marked for VVIP movements, covering Bhairon Marg, excluding the Ring Road T-Point, and Mathura Road from Subramania Bharti Marg T-Point to Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk.

“The general vehicles’ entry will not be allowed during the route movements,” the police stated.

During the summit, vehicles not destined for Delhi will be directed to the Eastern and Western Peripheral Expressways and other alternate routes, with entry into the capital prohibited.

Commuters heading to airports and railway stations will be accommodated, though they are advised to factor in extra travel time and use alternate routes to prevent delays.

Buses may also be rerouted as needed during VVIP movements to maintain security and ensure smooth traffic flow.

The Delhi Police has requested residents and visitors to cooperate with authorities and plan their travel ahead of time to reduce disruptions during the high-profile summit.
