Chennai, Feb 23 (.) Wind turbine maker Vayona Energy said it has signed an agreement for 702 MW wind power project with Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Ltd.
As per the deal, Vayona Energy will supply 195 SG 3.6-145 wind turbines to multiple projects of TPREL across Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, collectively adding 702 MW of capacity.
This milestone further strengthens the long-standing partnership, expanding Tata Power’s wind energy portfolio beyond 2 GW, encompassing both operational assets and projects at various stages of development.

Recently Vayona Energy had inked its first deal in the Indian market with the independent power producer (IPP) Oyster Renewable Energy Private Limited for 64.8 MW.
