London, Feb 22 (.) Zian Flemming scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Burnley held 10-man Chelsea to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Burnley fell behind early when Joao Pedro opened the scoring in the fourth minute, registering his 11th league goal of the season, as per the Premier League website.
The forward needed two attempts to guide the ball into the net after being set up by Pedro Neto following a precise through-ball from Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea dominated possession but struggled to convert their chances, with Cole Palmer denied by Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and Joe Worrall producing a crucial block early in the second half.
The hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 72nd minute when defender Wesley Fofana received his second yellow card for a late challenge on James Ward-Prowse, giving Burnley an opportunity to push forward.
Burnley capitalised on their numerical advantage deep into stoppage time when Flemming rose above his marker to head home Ward-Prowse’s corner, securing a valuable point for the visitors.
Burnley remain 19th in the standings and are eight points away from safety, while Chelsea missed the opportunity to move into fourth place and close the gap on third-placed Aston Villa.
